Technology in the floor

The ClimaLevel underfloor cabling system

When planning and operating office buildings, data and energy connections need to be as flexible as possible. For this reason, the laying of power and data cables in the underfloor area has proven its worth.

For many years, ClimaLevel has been offering a coordinated installation system for underfloor cabling within the ClimaLevel underfloor heating system or the ClimaLevel multi-floor.
This is a screed-covered underfloor system. It consists of profiled polystyrene formwork elements that are laid on the bare floor with a rolled-out formwork base. The formwork elements are uniformly three-part to accommodate the cables for heavy current and for telecommunications and data technology. The individual trains are separated by partition walls. The inner sides of the shell elements are slanted at the ribs so that cables can be pulled in easily.

The trunking system is very easy to handle thanks to its low weight and can be installed very quickly once the routes have been planned. At the points where floor-level installation units are to be fitted, underfloor shuttering elements with vertically projecting installation spigots are installed. The thin-walled formwork bodies remain in the screed as permanent formwork. Once the screed has set, the box tops are cut off flush with the screed and fitted with suitable device inserts for cavity floors.

Load-bearing capacity
The load-bearing capacity of the installation trunking is determined by the screed thickness above the trunking cover plate and the quality of the screed, the load distribution layer.

Sound insulation
For the plastic ducts, an expert opinion on an impact sound improvement value of 28 dB and a longitudinal sound insulation value of 40 dB (without separating joint in the screed) is available.
