With ClimaLevel underfloor heating

In fact, there are hardly any residential construction projects that are not equipped with hot water underfloor heating. Underfloor heating systems offer the best conditions for the efficient operation of all common types of heat generation due to the low heating medium temperatures. It is also comfortable and cost-effective.

ClimaLevel Energiesysteme GmbH has specialized for many years in the implementation of underfloor heating systems in buildings of all sizes and types. The absolute concentration on this sub-area of technical building equipment ensures special expertise in all technical issues relating to underfloor heating, underfloor cooling and special applications. This “learned competence” results in clear processes, responsibilities and very fast installation on site. The result is also the ability to implement surface heating systems very economically. In projects such as the Hohenlind district, the ClimaLevel Energiesysteme team sits down very early on with the building contractor and TGA specialist planners at the table to coordinate and optimize the system hydraulics and interfaces. In this case, there was an intensive and very pleasant collaboration with HPI Himmen Ingenieurgesellschaft from Cologne.

On behalf of the construction company, Adolf Lupp GmbH & Co. KG, HPI Himmen ensured that the interfaces in planning, technology and assembly were clearly defined. The digital exchange of planning data, assembly drawings and inspection plans via PlanCal Nova provided a common understanding of the system technology and responsibilities.

System hydraulics
Precisely calculated and adjusted system hydraulics are crucial for complaint-free operation of the heating system, especially in large and branched systems. All heating circuits are set on the heating circuit manifolds after commissioning. To ensure that the manifolds are independent of pressure fluctuations on the primary side, ACVATIX combination valves from ClimaLevel are used in the Hohenlind district. Each heating circuit manifold is connected with such a valve. The heart of the combi valve is a differential pressure regulator that keeps the water flow rate constant once it has been set.

Screed joints
As the maximum field sizes are specified in DIN 18 560, the heating circuits should be planned in accordance with the joint planning. Continuous pipes must be protected against shear stress with protective pipes.

Installation
Once the planning is complete and the installation drawings have been approved by the site manager, the project can be implemented and the ClimaLevel installation supervisors check ALL available surfaces using a rotating laser before installation. The Heights are measured room by room and compared with the required screed thickness. This information is then used to create the final assembly plans with the appropriate body combinations. There are clear processes and responsibilities that prevent complaints later on. Once the construction site is clear, the installation teams arrive and install the ClimaLevel underfloor heating. One crew installs an average of 600 to 900 m2 of underfloor heating per week. If the project schedule requires higher weekly output, the number of assembly teams is increased. The services naturally also include recorded pressure tests and inspection documents.

Services
Where and how do you define the interfaces? This question arises with almost every new client or project. The ClimaLevel portfolio allows the greatest possible flexibility to adapt to the requirements of the specific project and the project participants. In order to minimize interfaces, the complete delivery and installation of underfloor heating AND screed from a single source is also possible. This is made possible by a nationwide network of strong partners.
