ClimaLevel is committed to

Making the world a better place

We have been supporting two charitable projects for several years now: the ChanceMaker Foundation and the “Aktion Kinderträume e.V.” association. Important commitments to whose success we would like to contribute with our donations.

Enablers for a sustainable world
People who have first-hand knowledge of problems and are rooted locally are often the best problem solvers – what is often lacking is start-up capital, networks and professional support. The ChanceMaker Foundation supports local enablers who develop innovative solutions to social and environmental challenges in their home regions – through long-term financial support, coaching and access to networks. The carefully selected ChanceMakers and their initiatives are the multipliers that reach a large number of disadvantaged people on the ground and ensure a sustainable impact. Since 2017, the foundation has opened up new life opportunities for over 718,000 people in 11 countries.

Yanick Kemayou is one of the 17 ChanceMakers currently supported by the foundation. After studying and completing his doctorate in Germany and France, he returned to his home country of Mali and founded the Kabakoo Academies. His vision: to empower young people to create their own jobs and develop new solutions to pressing challenges – for a self-determined life in their home country.

The wish fulfillers
The lifespan of terminally ill or severely multiply disabled children and young people is limited. The “Aktion Kinder träume e. V.” has set itself the task of supporting them and their families by fulfilling special wishes or dreams. The association was founded in 2004 on the initiative of entrepreneurs from the German meat industry, including Clemens Tönnies and Uli Hoeneß.

The focus of wish fulfillment is not necessarily on special experiences. It is often about very pragmatic assistance that makes everyday life noticeably easier for families. This is because they are not only challenged by living with a life-limiting illness or disability, but in many cases also by their financial situation. Time-consuming care restricts their ability to work and the large number of aids and therapies put a strain on an already tight budget. A family car suitable for the disabled or additional therapies are then out of the question. The “Aktion Kinderträume e. V.” association provides fast, unbureaucratic and flexible help in these cases so that families can spend the remaining time together as unburdened as possible.
